Escape & Interface - Continued Persecution & Repression After Seeking Asylum

Making sense of what still isn't adding up since we got here. No one should have to be running for seven years where protection was promised with invisible Ts and Cs

Timeline
Timeline

Fleeing from Durban to Cape Town, we came to realize that we would continue to be pursued, so we eventually flew to Ireland. Immediately on arrival, we were interrogated and immediately filed an asylum case. Would have been nice to first process before jumping straight to the next hoop. In any case, we complied with the process, made the best of the situation but were and are being deliberately cornered into what our persecutors hope will be a vulnerable situation which they'd take advantage of. (To give you picture: " How do we say no without saying no?". This may be speculative on our part, but it;s also been a lived experienced that keeps pointing to this. With the substantial evidence and news reports after 2018, if protection was an intention, it would have actually been granted. And beyond that, there wouldn't be such persistent efforts to intimidate)

To further understand this, please see the topic of harassment techniques.

BALSESKIN

We were interrogated by airport police in front of the gate where people were still boarding. They took our laptops and ransacked our bags. Long story short, after stating our case and being fingerprinted, we were taken to a reception center at Balseskin in Dublin. One of us was already being harassed by this South African man. We reported it.

IPO

IPO stands for the International Protection Office. They deal with the initial case. The next morning, we were at the Department of Justice building, with the bus for asylum seekers where we'd file our written case and be given cards.

IPAT

IPAT deals with case appeals.

AIRBNB

After continued threats and harassment from this South African man, we decided to leave one night. We booked an Airbnb in Tyrellstown. An agreement was made between us and the host. He'd agreed to rent a room to us, so we grabbed our bags the next morning and never looked back.

LEGAL AID BOARD

We eventually were assigned a lawyer in Cork. It had taken some time because we had been moving county to county. He heard our case and advised us how to proceed; wishing we had come to him before sending the written case. Details of his comments have been stipulated in later complaints about how he had handled our case.

WICKLOW 2019

We had stayed in a place in Wicklow. We suspect that we had been followed by a Slavic spy into the kingdom hall. The Airbnb was merely a room, so there had been some tenants - no doubt, some who had ulterior motive, including a Lithuanian girl. It was while we stayed here that I was made aware of Zondo Commission proceedings.

LEINSTER ROAD

After fleeing the second place in Wicklow, we went back to Dublin. At this point, there had been emails from Liberty, concerning unclaimed umbrella funds. As we pursued this, SARS was continuously giving us the run-around, yet they had contacted us. In this shared accommodation, still, we experienced some forms of group mobbing - computer hacking, a gathering, the landlord raising the price, housemates increasing the freqiency and intensity of their parties.

GROSVENOR

We searched and eventually found an apartment in Grosvenor Lodge. It was near a military base. It was the only rental from which we had a response. Our case had been delayed due to COVID in 2020. A few incidents led us to believe that our lawyer did not, in fact, have our interests in mind when dealing with our case.More evidence was handed to IPAT.

RENT DISPUTE & IPAS

We had a complaint agaisnt the landlord for various incidents and we had decided to leave after someone had been blatantly walking around our place of residence after we confronted our lawyer about what we weren't happy with regarding his service. We left and lived in Adelaide. After this landlord also finessed us, we had called IPAS informing them of the risk of homelessness. We were placed on the system. On a follow up call, our names were removed from the system after an agent confirmed that we were on the list.

LEGAL COMPLAINT

We made a complaint against our lawyer. After the debacle with the secretary, who seemed to be sabotaging us with the call to prepare for theappeal.

MULLABODEN

While staying at this lodge, an email was receieved that the complaint against the lwayer was admissable.

CORK

Cork was the place we fled to, probably after going to Dublin. We slept in the car, figuring that we needed to steer clear of Kildare

CAR

We were living in the car inCork after we had to flee Mullaboden Lodge. By flee, I mean that we had to get rid of a previous vehicle and conceal the new one, in order that we might not be tracked and followed.

APPEAL

We proceeded with the appeal for our case. We had asked a city council to use a facility, which had been quiet. As soon as we plugged in, connection became an issue and one of the staff started being disruptive and making noise. We had the interview on the call, my sister and I. My other sister was not, as her mental health was being assessed.

Systemic problems - housing and airbnb and cowork

I have detailed a report outlining the initial contrived instability. Since 2018, an obvious lack of security was clear. Following that, each residence eventually became rigged in price and ridden with spying and other forms of group mobbing. Since 2020, this has turned into a systemic problem - but it doesn't have to be.

Misuse of influence - Legal

For whatever reason, the lawyer we were assigned did not carry our case with the best of our interests. In efforts to replace the legal representative, we had no choice but to represent ourselves because no one wanted to take our case. We were ghosted by a lawyer after a case assessment. We have reason to believe there a circulation of data concerning us and our case. Either that or computer hacking and phone tapping.

NO rEAL ASSISTANCE PROVIDED

Throughout the years, asylum case, gardai reporting and housing assistance have been met with apathy or a complete lack of assistance that seemed tailored specifically to us. At a time when asylum seekers were being housed, we were actively removed from the emergency housing assistance list. This is just to name a few things.

possible conflict of Interest In Light of New Trade Agreements With South Africa

Dogpatch (which we have consisdered using as a cowork space) hosted an event celebrating their trade alliance with South Africa. This explains the mobbing that became more prevalent
